Biography

I'm Johannes, born in Vöcklabruck, Upper Austria, in 1988. I discovered my passion for the audiovisual world early on. After school, I started working as a metalworker in a factory, but it became clear to me quite quickly that this wasn't my true calling.
In 2008, I took the leap and underwent professional training as a cameraman. Armed with a diploma, I ventured into self-employment, producing captivating image films within Austria.
The turning point came in 2009 when I moved to Barcelona to explore new horizons. There, I immersed myself in the world of cinematography, collaborating with esteemed production houses and studios, honing my skills in shooting and editing.
As my career progressed, I found myself increasingly drawn to the art of color correction and grading in films. Through this process, I discovered the transformative power of various chemical treatments on 16 and 35mm film, sparking a deep passion for color manipulation.
Since then, I've brought my expertise to a diverse range of projects, from music videos and short films to image films and full-length features and commercials, as well as color grading cinema and television documentaries. My work is characterized by my distinctive approach to color, enriching each narrative with depth and nuance.
